In today’s high-stress work environments, there is an epidemic of repetitive strain injury, carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic back pain, headaches and stress related disorders. While ergonomics are a familiar strategy in improving the work station —the Alexander Technique utilizes the body’s design in obtaining postural support in any environment (the office, the subway, the airplane, your car, etc.) By learning some of the basic principles of the Technique, you can eliminate unnecessary muscular effort and tension and often relieve the agonizing symptoms associated with office related injuries.
